Interim Coronavirus disease (COVID-19) Infection Control and Cancellation Policy
Due to the current pandemic status of the Coronavirus disease (COVID-19), extra care and attention is being taken by Binary Plus Limited for the protection of our staff, clients and their families. The following guidelines have been developed in accordance with NHS and Resuscitation Council guidelines and we appreciate your support in making the training provided by Binary Plus Limited a safe and healthy learning environment for all participants.
Our normal cancellation policy is suspended until further notice. Should we need to cancel a course due to the building policy, governmental policy or our staff needing to isolate themselves, then candidates will be provided with as much notice as possible and offered a full refund or transfer to another course , even if the course is part completed. These offers will be made by email.
Prior to course commencement
Important: Arriving at any of our training courses will be taken as indication that you accept you will be subject to the following actions.
For the protection of other participants and staff, at the beginning of each day, all candidates will be temperature screened using a contactless forehead thermometer. Any candidate who shows a demonstrable temperature of 37.8°c or more will be asked to leave the premises and recommended to follow government advice and go home and begin self-isolation. If this happens, other participants on the course will be notified that someone has been asked to leave to leave for this reason.
The candidate will be contacted by email and offered the opportunity to rebook for no extra charge or the opportunity to request a full refund. Should the candidate be part-way through a course (such as on day 2 of a 3-day course) they will be able to join a further course on the relevant day and any prior assessment carried forward. Should the candidate request a refund then this will be pro-rata based upon days already attended. Should a refund be requested, then if possible, certification for a lower award will be offered to cover the days of training they have already attended and been assessed for.
We will be operating a zero skin-to-skin contact policy within both the training and wider business environment; this includes handshakes as well as during practical elements of the training. Hand washing facilities are readily available as well as a supply of alcohol gel for use by all candidates and staff. Gloves MUST be worn when handling equipment or touching other participants. These will be provided. Equipment will be wiped with specialist equipment wipes in-between individual users (and allowed to dry as per manufacturer’s recommendations) and sterilising will take place after each course as well as an increased protocol of replacing disposable elements (such as manikin lungs which are to be replaced daily). All candidates will be provided with disposable face shields for the practice of CPR. The breath element of CPR will be assessed and practiced ONCE ONLY (with the exception that repetition may be required for some candidates to reach the required assessment standards).
